Buy your plane ticket
Never buy a non-refundable ticket before you have the visa.
How to do it
- 1For the visa application, a flight reservation is enough: only buy your ticket once you have collected your passport with the visa.
- 2Check the validity dates and the « étudiant » mention on your visa sticker, then pick a flight date within that period.
- 3Time your arrival with your institution's start date and the date your accommodation becomes available.
- 4Choose a ticket you can change, in case your departure has to move.
- 5Write down your exact date of entry into France: it starts the 3-month period to validate your visa on ANEF.

- Passport with student VLS-TS visa
- Flight reservation used for the visa
- Address and contact for your first accommodation
- Admission certificate from your institution
