Look for a scholarship

For a master's, the Eiffel scholarship goes through the French institution, before its own deadline (06/01/2027 at the latest on the institution's side). Also search Campus Bourses.

France Excellence Eiffel scholarship 2027Master's (29 at most) or PhD (35 at most), application filed by the French institution before 06/01/2027You don't apply directly: the institution that admits you decides to put you forward. Its internal deadline is earlier, ask the programme coordinator. Results in the week of 12/04/2027.

How to do it

No official scholarship costs money: beware of middlemen asking for fees to "get" you a scholarship.

  1. 1Search the scholarships open to your profile on Campus Bourses, Campus France's catalogue: filter by nationality (Cameroon), level and field.
  2. 2For a master's or PhD, aim for the Eiffel scholarship: choose a programme in an eligible field, then email the programme coordinator to ask whether they put forward Eiffel candidates and what their internal deadline is.
  3. 3Prepare your Eiffel file following the institution's instructions: it files it with Campus France, by 06/01/2027 at the latest.
  4. 4Also email the French embassy's SCAC to find out about the 2027 call for French government scholarships.
  5. 5Keep going with your Études en France application: a scholarship replaces neither the Campus France procedure nor the visa.

What you need

  • Your CV and a cover letter
  • Your transcripts and diplomas (step C10)
  • The signed Eiffel candidate commitment, if the institution puts you forward

Tips

  • Contact institutions from October: their Eiffel deadline often falls well before January.
  • A scholarship you obtain is accepted proof of funds for the visa (scholarship certificate).
  • APL stays reserved for CROUS needs-based grant holders: an Eiffel scholarship does not open it.
