Who makes Mbeng?

Mbeng is not an agency. It's a free guide, built by a student who has just been through the same journey as you.

Me, Jiordi Kengne
I grew up between Bafoussam and Douala. I did a DUT then a bachelor's in Software Engineering at the IUT of Douala, while working at the Congo market until the day I left. In 2026, I moved to France for an engineering degree in work-study.
Why Mbeng
I have just been through this journey: Campus France, visa, arrival, work-study. The information is scattered, often out of date, and it's easy to miss a deadline or pay for nothing. Mbeng is the guide I wish I had had: the next step, in the right order, with the official source of every figure.
What Mbeng doesn't do
Mbeng doesn't handle any file, asks for no payment, sells no service and promises neither admission nor a visa. Every procedure happens on the official websites (Études en France, TLS, France-Visas): Campus France and the embassy decide.
How it's funded
I build it alone, in my free time. There are no ads and no subscription: server costs are small and I pay them myself.
How figures are checked
Every amount and date links to its official source, with the date it was checked. Official pages are re-read automatically every week: when a figure changes, I'm alerted and I fix it. When a fact isn't confirmed, the page says so.
Found a mistake?
Every page has a "Report a mistake or suggest an addition" button. I review everything by hand. If you went through a step differently, your feedback helps the next students.
Thanks
The idea for Mbeng came from following the work of lndev.
